Michael Jackson received his Masters Degree in Educational Administration at San Francisco State University in 1984.  Michael also holds degrees in History and Dramatic Art from UC Berkeley, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1974.  He has been a classroom teacher for over 25 years at the secondary level. He teaches English, history, and radio/TV broadcasting. His students manage a Website and operate an Internet radio station. He is also the Director and Curriculum Coordinator for the Media Academy at Fremont High School.  Michael is nationally known for his presentations on project and community based learning, and academy management subjects. He has presented in 21 states. He also coached teacher teams from Baltimore, Cleveland, Denver, and Washington D.C.with the Urban Schools Network for six years. The National Education Media Network recognized him as the 1999 Teacher of the Year. Michael authored three chapters of a national publication to assist teachers in using film effectively in the classroom and worked with the NCRVE on the series Getting to Work.
