Wendy Chalk

Wendy received her B.S.
degree in Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa
Barbara. She also obtained her administrative credential and Masters
Degree in Educational Administration, with an emphasis on Curriculum and
Instruction and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Her
career in education includes 18 years of classroom experience. As a
classroom teacher, Wendy was actively involved in statewide k-12 reform
efforts in science and mathematics. Her work includes pioneering the
development of California's first statewide performance assessments and
coordinating regional staff development programs for the Riverside
County Office of Education and California School Leadership Academy.
Wendy's expertise in facilitating school improvement efforts resulted in
her appointment as the Regional Director for the schools in Riverside
and San Bernardino County involved in the California's SB1274
Restructuring Grant Program. Wendy's experience also includes both site
and district level administration. As a Coordinator of K-12 Curriculum
and Staff Development she was responsible for the design, implementation
and coordination of the district's professional development program for
teacher, administrators and classified staff. Her experience in
administration also includes serving as an Assistant Principal in charge
of Curriculum and Accreditation. Currently, Wendy is a general partner
and owner of her own consulting agency, Life Long Learning &
Associates. With her partner, Steve Ramirez, they have formed a team of
experienced practitioners which are serving schools throughout the
United States.
